I have spend a small week (in between) working on 'Nothing you can do about' starting from Jan Hentschel's (Sweden) version from your website. Jan Hentschel's version was based on Manhattan Transfer's version and it was a great starting point (thanks Jan). But as I liked Jay Graydon's version so much I put his Wave file next to the midi file and copied the parts as closely as I could. It was not easy, but I think that I got pretty close. The work was intended as a basis for a score, so I did not spend time on things like pitch bends on the bass etc. That's for the next guy :-) I changed the end as I did not care to much for Jay's end (sorry buddy), and added some extra voices so our singers had something more to do. Also left the sax-lead and synth (cool solo) from Jan (Man.Tr. version), but volume is 0. Hope you like it and that it is a help to someone. Great song, hail to Jay Graydon!

I'm a guitar player and a fan of West Coast Music since many years. The last few years I've discovered the possibility of making music on my computer. Although this can never replace the feeling of playing together with other musicians I find it a fascinating tool. I feel I'm learning a lot about arranging music by playing songs this way. It has also given me a new respect for the geniosity of guys like Jay Graydon and David Foster. I use Digital Orchestrator Pro for sequencer and a Roland SC-7 sound module.

rekordbox is the best way of preparing and managing your tracks, be it at home, in the studio, or even on the plane! It allows you to import music from other music-management software using the Bridge function, or by simply adding them into the software for management. rekordbox will work out the BPM and allow you to set hot-cue and loop points into the track, utilizing a full beat grid view in advance, as well as color-coding your music and adding all the ID3 information so it appears automatically later on any rekordbox-enabled Pioneer DJ player.
Working with rekordbox also means that when tracks are exported to a USB key or SD card (CDJ-2000NXS and CDJ-2000 only), the waveforms are loaded instantly. Record your cue, loop, and set history during your set and recall them in rekordbox later. If you enable the Quantize feature within the CDJ-2000NXS/CDJ-2000/CDJ-900NXS/CDJ-900, then rekordbox makes loop and cue points snap to the beat (1ms accurate), ensuring beat-perfect loops and cues. The database layout within the software can also be customized to suit individual DJ style which enables personalized layouts when browsing on your Pioneer player.
